I have been struggling with this issue for weeks, finally giving up with a work around (crappy old Dell USB keyboard). I don't know what to do and I have tried replacing the batteries, it still doesn't work. There is actually no evidence that the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard even supports a reset function.
