thanks for this article !! None of them suggested that there was an official, documented (or even undocumented) way of doing a reset on an Apple keyboard. Thankfully this solution got it working again. Thanks!! Pressing the button activates a green LED on the top of the device, near the button. I'd tried PRAM reset, SMC reset, turning everything on and off etc.

  3. There might be two, one in the main Library folder: .comment-meta 0/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist And one in the user folder: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist Delete them both, the completely shutdown the machine (not just a restart)

Updated to Mavericks, and first time I rebooted, the Bluetooth Assistant tried to pair my bluetooth wireless keyboard and with my iMac but it said my keyboard was not "discoverable." I use it with my iPad. Imac Keyboard Not Working If it is, you may want to click on arrow to the right and select "Forget this Device" in the menu that opens if you've been unable to connect. This works!
