By identifying which machine has the erroneous pairing and removing it from the Bluetooth settings, you should be able to keep your keyboard connecting to the desired system. It's possible that I'm missing something, but it seems like you're just stating a preference for keyboards with longer key travel and a layout that you like. so i removed the wireless k-b from the bluetooth list and restarted the procedure: bang! You can charge these devices by connecting them to a Mac or a USB power adapter using a Lightning to USB Cable.For the fastest battery charging performance, be sure your device I feel scammed by Apple, and that is something I've never experienced before. Suddenly it stopped working with the ipad. Hope someone might have some ideas on what might fix this.

Also note i am a total ignorant as far as laptops go so talk to me in intelligible language please!!!!!! This tip did the trick. It's the reverse engineering of my fix.
