The Mac probably stores the ID's at least of the initial keyboard and mouse paired with the system, because that normally happens when you first setup the machine. Follow the instructions here to disable Mouse Keys. Keyboard(1) is supposed to be connected to the mac mini, but keeps connecting back to the macbook pro.
