Media Center Guide Not Updating

I am a victim to the guide not updating problem too. Fonzo Hiller So glad I found this article. But now after trying various zip areas the resulting stations are either Dayton OR Cincinnati but not both. If you see this error, it seems to not setup guide data, so you will never have guide data from what I have seen.

  • Progressive_Joe This was a glitch in the transition from Zap2it to Rovio as the listings provider.
  • ALSO, no ratings for movies!
  • The combination of these issues leads me to think that something was changed and/or corrupted by a recent Windows update.
  • But, on Friday (thanks to a tip from Pete DiSario), Microsoft has acknowledged further issues with the switchover.
  • Hopefully they will fix the listings and I can rerun the setup.

Man, I seriously hope Microsoft just breaks out the TV part of Media Center (ie: the XBox One part) and makes it available as an app on Win10. Since I've run setup about 50 times today, I have no idea if he's right or not. I noticed that during the setup WMC now only scans for channels that ROVI lists for your zip code. lenbar I was wondering why my guide was behaving differently, now I know. Took me about 4 tries for it to take. I am wrestling with this now, Corvallis 97330 no longer sees a number of the Eugene stations. Guide, live TV and recording tested.
