WMP used to work just fine and now I cannot create play lists. Our forum is dedicated to helping you find support and solutions for any problems regarding your Windows 7 PC be it Dell, HP, Acer, Asus or a custom build. Once I renamed that one file to ".avi.TEST" everything worked out fine. I can browse to the missing album and play it but it isn't in the library with the rest of the artists music.

I do not have tv service only internet so I download everything I watch and must play it through my xbox 360 via file sharing. Upon re-launching media player your WMP should rebuild this folder with the defaults. BTW I had just swapped out a drive and replaced it with a bigger drive prior to this problem. Yes you can delete the folder where your library is stored, let your media player library empty, then add the folder back which will then re-load the library with the new navigate here What now? Yet again a small dialog box will temporarily appear while the process is being enabled. Individually listed the folder to monitor for media files. Can't Add Music To Windows Media Player

i started backing up my data to re-format and it solved everything.. Thanks anyway. Tried using other music library managing programs; came down to windows being incapable. To start, by Click the Windows Start Menu Orb and Type services.msc in the search box. To show them I had to reassign the vid folder at every startup of WMP.
From the Services window find the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. To do this, open up the Services control panel and stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. I really hope this works. I cant add any files to my media library.
