Windows Media Player Organize Manage Libraries Not Working


To include/update recently added music files, i.e., those which populated the library on first use of WMP, and was unsuccessful. WMP used to work just fine and now I cannot create play lists. Once I renamed that one file to ".avi.TEST" everything worked out fine. I can browse to the missing album and play it but it isn't in the library with the rest of the artists music.

  6. So, first make sure that your music is all in a folder that is included in Windows' Music library.

I do not have tv service only internet so I download everything I watch and must play it through my xbox 360 via file sharing. Upon re-launching media player your WMP should rebuild this folder with the defaults. BTW I had just swapped out a drive and replaced it with a bigger drive prior to this problem. Yes you can delete the folder where your library is stored, let your media player library empty, then add the folder back which will then re-load the library with the new navigate here What now? Thanks anyway. Tried using other music library managing programs; came down to windows being incapable. To start, by Click the Windows Start Menu Orb and Type services.msc in the search box. To show them I had to reassign the vid folder at every startup of WMP.
