I find it simply amazing how people can intentionally disrupt the way the designers designed it to work, then complain when the system no longer works as designed. Otherwise it kills copy/paste functionality totally. Disappointing that such a widely used piece of software as Skype should cause such damaging and far reaching consequences. There was no solution after adjusting all options in all programs. I went to your answer which led me to the msconfig operation so i did a safe boot & paste worked so I began to delete programs downloaded about the time Well, for most of my personal uses, google's stuff works, so I'm not buying anything MS unless my company buys it for me. Thanks again!

In one case, a user experiencing this problem was using a nice little program called "Advance Care".
