Happened when I was using a GT430 and now with a GT650ti so not GPU dependant. although, a very caring high level hp csr did report it to HP HQ. What am I not doing????? Also, at a certain point, recording TV lost sound too. have a peek here

If you set sound in Windows to 5.1 you get this problem, although it is intermittent. I have the same sound card. I always play MKV's in LPCM because I use Re-clock and never noticed that with W7 set to Stereo. The volume is on full on screen and my speakers are plugged in and turned on.
