If you are not getting sound with any program, see the no sound in Windows page. I performed a scan with Avira. Update / Reinstall the Windows Media Player If you continue to experience issues, you may want to consider reinstalling or updating the Windows Media player on your computer. I've had that problem a few times before, never really understood why...

Sound settings Verify your sound settings are correct. You can only upload a photo (png, jpg, jpeg) or a video (3gp, 3gpp, mp4, mov, avi, mpg, mpeg, rm). The speed settings has the slider disappeared so can't slide it to high speed (and I've got snap slider to common speeds unchecked). Thanks.

What I do know is that 99% of our .WMA video and audio files allows us to search through the video/audio using the seek slider, while 1% does not. Expression Encoder or WM Encoder (both made by MS) are fine.Also, try out VLC media player.
