Windows Update Not Working Vista Service Not Running


Tried this suggested fix, no go. Whenever users click on “Check for updates,” they are provided with an error displaying the following message: “Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. I’m very grateful. I’m having trouble locating the windows update service anywhere… Is it possible that it is somehow missing or infected? http://ict4m.org/windows-update/windows-vista-update-not-working-service-not-running.php

If this is your case fix could be easy.
