It shouldn't be necessary but maybe with SP3 on it you might get further with updates. Very confusing for me, so, can someone help me?

Now back in the command prompt type "net start wuauserv" Open windows update and check for updates. i show sp3 in my add remove section, but not in my system info. Riider, i have no idea if my system was corrupt, but, i did run antivirus, Microsoft essentials. If you are running IE8, try resetting your browser by following the directions on the link below... when i do a recover, i reboot, click f10, and use the recover partition that is still there.
